With EA having released the official update to their roster that will coincide with week 1 We'll post several Madden 24 sliders. We'll begin with Mike Lowe's version 1.0 sliders. Today, we're doing this since the actual NFL season kicks off this evening and it's the moment when I'm starting to think about starting playing my games for my franchise and to take part in the game more often.
With Mike's sliders, I've played his Madden sliders several times, and I trust his judgement in making adjustments to the game. Additionally, he's also playing with the broadcast view as well, which is something I've been embracing increasing in recent years. EA released what they would include the contents of Madden 24 patch 3 (title update #3) towards the close of August. This patch was released on August 31st and was somewhat tainted by the Kaepernick announcement. Now, however, players have had the chance to try the various features to find out the actual changes made in the update. Two of the more detailed breakdowns of gameplay I've seen so far came by Eric Rayweather and Gutfoxx.
The initial issue is believed to be related to the solution to this bullet point of note in the patch: Correction an issue with movement in the Twins/Slot formation. defenses that are Nickel/Dime/Dollar, players in a way that are not appropriate swap assignments and leave the receiver unprotected. The fix is that you cannot use the hike option on offense when an opponent is moving while defense is on the man position anymore. But, you are able to use hike when it's an area defense. The offense will know what kind of defense you're on depending on whether you're able to play the ball in a snap or not.
Naturally, you must be in the extreme side to notice this flaw that it's an easy mistake to point out. That's right, EA more or less created a new issue while fixing an older one.
Gutfoxx displays on his YouTube channel that the coverage doesn't be working as one would think they would. There were still one-play touchdowns despite the coverage in into the center of the fieldthe receivers are still outrunning the defense. Much is the "throw out of the sack" issues have been addressed according to the terms of EA that are outlined within the patches notes. Some players might not be too enthusiastic about the changes, however, they seem to be working in the way they are intended.
